“…But what about the DNA? Detective Ryan said they had DNA proof you were killed in the explosion.”
“I’m here, aren’t I?” She placed her arms around him and drew him closer. “You can feel my body. Do I feel like a ghost?”
Bill felt ecstatic. He pulled her closer and began kissing her. After several minutes of urgent kissing they moved to the bedroom. Soon they lay naked in each other’s arms. Bill ran his hands over her perfect body. She opened her mouth, and he detected something unpleasant. It smelled rancid, like some meat that had gone bad. His first thought was to blame it on his neighbors. That exotic couple from Bulgaria were always cooking something that smelled unappetizing.
“God do I love you!”
Bill didn’t get the response he expected. A nice “I love you too” would have been perfect. Instead, Amber’s face began transforming itself into something so hideous that Bill was too frightened to scream. Her skin seemed to dissolve right before his eyes until a skull stared at him and a coarse sound came from her throat.
“Your God can’t help you now. You’re mine forever!”
