Synopsis
When twenty-five-year-old Kat is dragged to a porn convention by her best friend, she's both embarrassed and nervous. The last thing she ever expected was to meet someone who makes her laugh like no other. This is a story about acceptance and friendship, and a love born out of the most unexpected of places.
My Review
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
3 Platypires for Lingus by Mariana Zapata
This is the second book that I have read from Ms.Zapata. Unfortunately, I didn't like it as much as Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin. While, Zapata, keeps the humor throughout the book I also felt the story took a long time. There was more humor than romance. I didn't feel a strong build up and not much of a sexual tension. I guess I was expecting more because the story started off at a porn convention but other than that it did not live up to expectations.
Another thing I didn't like was the slut shaming about women who enjoy porn when the MC and her bff were just the same. I felt that was pretty hypocritical and left a bad taste.
Now as for the romance I thought it was pretty sweet and funny. Overall I did like and would still read more from Zapata.
