I am a huge music fan. Not a day goes by that I do not listen to some type of music. I can not function without it. I also love discovering new artists. On this first Music Monday I am showcasing artist Meg Meyers. Her "alternative rock" debut alum Sorry was released on September 18th and features 10 songs.
The album "Sorry" opens up with the song "Motel" and it was so refreshing to hear Meg Meyers vocals. She has an edge to her voice that resonates.. The song "Desire (Explicit) " is my favorite song on the album. I feel if nothing else than at least that track deserves a download. Its freakishly good and that song alone get 5 Platypires. Highlights to this album are the songs Motel, Sorry, Parade and Feather. Personally, I wasn't feeling the song "A Bolt From The Blue" I felt it was too pop/new age for my taste and it was quite different from most of the other tracks. Overall this is a great debut album and I can't wait to hear more from Meg Meyers.

I want to first start off that I got to meet the author at Houston author bash earlier this year. I was immediately drawn to the cover of this book. I just think it's a beautiful cover. This was the only physical book that I bought at t...
