My Sandman journey continues and my crush is still going strong. And who knew that the Sandman has a soft spot for cats? Yup, a whole story dedicated to CATS! Therefore the KING had to participate and give his approval to the Sandman. Doesn't he look happy? lol.

The third book of the Sandman collection is a series of four short comic book stories. In each of these otherwise unrelated stories, Morpheus serves only as a minor character. Here we meet the mother of Morpheus's son, find out what cats dream about, and discover the true origin behind Shakespeare's A Midsummer's Night Dream. The latter won a World Fantasy Award for best short story, the first time a comic book was given that honor. This volume includes issues 17-20 of the original series and features completely new coloring, approved by the author, of issues 17 and 18
My Review:
The Sandman, Vol. 3: Dream Country by Neil Gaiman
My rating: 3 of 5 stars The Sandman I still like you but I think I would have liked this volume if you had made more of an appearance. Don't get me wrong the stories were good and I'm definitely continuing with the series. Still think Neil Gaiman had a weird twisted mind. I just liked the other previous two volumes more. This time around we get 4 short stories that were not connected at all with each other. I kept thinking they were gonna tie in together but they just didn't. There was a story about a muse that was freaky. Next a story about cats and I thought was interesting. I could have done without the story about William Shakespeare but enjoyed the story about Death. I wouldn't mind reading more about the Sandman's sister. Can't wait to read the next volume. I would recommend the Sandman series for fans of the horror genre. This is for a mature audience.
