My Review
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4 Platypires for The Man I Love by Suanne Laqueur
“My enemy does not triumph over me. Fuck the fucking fuckers.”
I have been hearing about The Man I Love for almost forever. A lot of my book friends have been raving about it and I finally got around to reading it. I think I was hesitant at first for fear I wouldn't like it and be the outcast among them. Luckily that was not the case at all.
I truly enjoyed this book. I will be honest there were times when I had to put the book down. Certain subject matters and scenes were kinda hard for me. I gotta give it to Suanne Laqueur for painting a realistic picture where I felt I was in the moment along with the characters. I applaud her for being able to do this.
The Man I Love is a book about love, lost love , friendships and just freaking life. Overall this was a really good book and I would recommend for others to read.
