Below is my 4 platypires review.
Synopsis:
Orissa Penwell will do anything in the zombie plagued world to keep her friends safe. After the discovery of a zombie-proof safe house, she thinks things may actually work out and they can get through the apocalypse together. The compound offers more than just shelter. It gives her and her friends a sense of community and purpose. It gives them a reason to keep living in the dead world.
But her chance at happiness is shattered when someone she recently let into her life—and her heart—is shot. Hell-bent on revenge, Orissa will do whatever it takes to seek vengeance and get even…without caring what the risk is for herself.
Things quickly go from bad to worse and she finds herself lost and abandoned—and forced to face the zombie-plagued world on her own. When lies, secrets, and desperation are added to the already harrowing world, Orissa discovers that zombies aren’t the only things to worry about.
What—or who—will justice cost her? And just how far will Orissa go to avenge someone she loves?
My review:
Deathly Contagious by Emily Goodwin My rating: 4 of 5 stars "You have two choices: You can focus on the things that break your heart, or you can focus on the things that keep it together. No matter what, it’s up to you" Wtf! I think the author Emily Goodwin is trying to give me a heart attack. This book starts off with a f*cking bang especially coming from that crazy ending from book one. I'm not gonna lie. My heart rate did speed up and I had a lot of oh sh!t moments. This book is really good and I enjoyed it a lot. Lots of twist and turns. I don't wanna reveal spoilers but it's cray cray at times but in a really good way. Now about Orissa, I do think she might be a ill too G.I. Jane meaning she kinda just knows how to do everything. Which I can understand might turn off some people. Personally, I still think she's pretty awesome and can so see us being homies. lol. I do need to add a detail that I noticed from the first book and it happen again in the second book. In no way did it effect my rating. My bf use to drive semi trucks and due health reasons he can't anymore. But I did learn a lot about 18 wheelers and even got to ride with him. It's almost impossible to verbally tell someone how to drive one. It takes weeks/months of training. When I saw that come up twice. I did cringed but I just had to believe that it was possible. Cause anything is possible, right? even zombies. lol. Deathly Contagious is defiantly a book I would highly recommend to any zombie fan. View all my reviews | |
