First thing's first. I loved this book. My favorite character is a toss up between Rissa and her Great Clarice, whom she was named after. I can't tell you why about GC, however when you see her in the book for the first time, you will understand!
For Rissa, between what she does/says to Cal at the very beginning of the book, to her pursuit of Spencer, she shows us that she is a strong woman and will do what she needs to get what she wants.
Clarice (Rissa) Daniels has returned to Olympia after Los Angeles left a bad taste in her mouth. She was an actress there, but has returned home to be near her family and friends and is starting to settle in.
Spencer (Spence) St. George is an artist that teaches at the local middle school and had impromptu classes in the park every Saturday. He loves his life as it is now, and is not looking to complicate things with love or a relationship of any type.
Rissa is literally dropped into Spence's lap and no matter how hard he tries, he can't get her, or her lilac scent, out of his mind.
Rissa's friends don't understand what she sees in the glass-wearing, bike riding, artist. She can't get him off her mind and she decides she will do what ever it takes to out on a date with him to get to know him better.
I give this book ♥♥♥♥. I really enjoyed it!
