I'm fairly certain I said the words "Oh Shit" a few times. Especially when the kid said his name was Davros.
Also, the bit when Missy started texting - haha! Loved it! She's one of those villains that I can't help but really enjoy, and feel like a horrible person because of it.
There was much laughing on my part when I saw the Doctor come in to the arena on a tank playing his electric guitar. That was fantastic. I truly hope there will be more of that in later episodes.
In this episode we see the doctor refuse to help a child, because he knows what this kid grows up to be. This is an especially low point for him, because I expected more from him. I think this helped solidify how very... human... Peter's doctor can be at times.
Also, the end makes me think back to the season 1 trick where the Daleks didn't exterminate but they moved to another location. But then again, at the very end the Doctor goes back and helps Davros. So that could have changed things and reversed Missy and Clara being killed.
I have never been able to watch the episodes so soon after being aired. I've always binged at least two at a time, so this is going to be a whole new feel for me.
Keagan Rae:
Credits are rolled and then we have creedpy dudes looking for The Doctor for Davros. So obviously all is well in the universe. Well...as well as it could be with Davros still alive. Then planes are being stopped in midflight, no Doctor and Clara is getting summoned to UNIT.
I was hoping Ingrid's character would show up, but I suppose that will just have to wait until another episode. Instead, we get Missy (you so fine)! To be honest, I was a little iffy about this incarnation at the end of season 8, but I adored her in this episode. And really kinda glad that The Doctor gaver her his will. I've also been a lot on the fence about Clara since going through The Doctor's time stream. This episode she was pretty good in though.
They find The Doctor! And he's being a wee bit rebelious. Which, is understandable if he believes he's about to go face his death. But shouldn't he know by now it's super duper hard to kill him!? The rolling in on a tank playing a guitar was a-maz-ing.
So they're all captured, and Missy and Clara go on an adventure. AND OH MY GOD THEY'RE ON SKARO. WHAAAAAAAAT. HOW CAN THIS BE?!?!!?! Missy and Clara are recaptured, the TARDIS has be captured by the daleks and ZAP. Missy's hit and...disappears? Doesn't the beam usually leave them there...dead? So either these daleks are playing tricks or Missy managed to teleport them out right at the last second. Wishful thinking? Or maybe, by the looks of the end, it's The Doctor's doing that frees them. I DON'T KNOW. AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SATURDAY TO FIND OUT. OH THE HORROR.
