I absolutely detest when authors, PAs, and street teams just message my page, "Hey, I am blah blah - post all this shit."
No. I won't. I post things a specific way. If you want me to post them, fill out the form. If I think your book is suitable, it will be posted at the next open availability.
This DOES NOT mean I am posting it that day. If possible, I will. But, more than likely, it'll be about a week.
I understand that takes a little effort to go all the way to the blog and answer 10 questions... but so does me taking time out of my day to post those things.
Besides, I am far more likely to promote an author (for a PA and street team member as well) if the person messaging the page INTERACTS on things and it is not just a random "SPAM ALL THE PAGES" thing.
Except that almost never happens. Because those people FILL OUT FORMS.
In conclusion, spam = bad. Know who you are asking to promote you before you waste their time. Also add more platypires into your books. That would totally get you promotion on the blog for all of ever.
