J. Hooligan's
These are the top 10 finished series that I've begun, but haven't finished.
I would first like to give a nod to The Stolen Empire series by Sherry Ficklin, which was originally going to be included - but I finished reading earlier today, so I had to find a quick replacement.
The following are in no particular order. Some of them, I own all the books but haven't finished the series. Others, I've read all but one of the books. Then there are the few where I've only read the first book, but plan on reading more later on.
The Lost Voices Trilogy by Sarah Porter
I just started this one yesterday, and already finish book one and part of the second. This isn't like any other mermaid story I've read, which really stuck out for me. All three books are on KU Whispersync, which is how I have them.
Kricket by Amy A. Bartol
There's actually three books in this series, book 3 just came out today. It's a science fiction new adult/mature young adult story with lots of drama. All of them are on KU, the first two are on Whispersync.
Jade by Allie Everhart
I started this one because I had an audible giftcard and needed to get some books. I had read another book narrated by Ashley Klanac, and since I had the ebook already - the audio version was about $2. Once that ended, I bought and read the ebook version of the companion immediately afterward... then the second and I'm partway through the third book now.
True Reign by Jennifer Anne Davis
I've heard good things about this series from another platypire (Sara), so I finally started it when I was offered the audiobook of The Key in exchange for an honest review. The first book is free on amazon.
The Beautiful Dead by Daryl Banner
I've read the first two books of this series, and I own the third. I really want to read it, but I also hate endings - which is why I haven't read it yet.
The Thin Veil by Jodi McIsaac
This was actually one of the first reviews I did for this site. Since then, I got too busy with blog tours and whatnot. I can't believe I haven't finished this one yet. I really need to get on that.
The Woodlands by Lauren Nicolle Taylor
I got the first book in this series for free, but kept holding off on reading it - because I am a fool. I finally read it when I was asked to review the audiobook. I only cried like... 10 times. Minimum. I really want to read the rest of the books, but I'm a bit afraid that they will break me.
Dirty Blood by Heather Hildenbrand
My husband actually won me a signed copy of the first book of this series for my birthday a few years ago. It looked interesting, but I really didn't read it until I saw a blog tour for it last year. It was fantastic and I loved it. It was one of my top books of 2014.
Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind
I couldn't find the amazon page for the complete series, because there's like 30000 books in it... plus a spin off series (which is the last book in this series, but the first book in that series). Anyway, I read the first few books of this series back in the day. Then, when I discovered that the kindle app exists on smartphones - I read the next two books. I have most ebooks for this series, and a few more paperbacks. EVENTUALLY, I will read them. But the last one I read pissed me off so much that it actually took me almost a year to read it, because I kept putting it down and refusing to read it until I calmed down.
World Aflame by Jon Messenger
And lastly, because I do what I want... this series is ALMOST done, else it would have totally been in the top 10. The 6th book should be out sometime this year.
Imdalind Series by Rebecca Ethington
I started this series during a bad time for me. Things were happening - and kept happening, and I pushed off reading it. Still, I absolutely loved the first book. I really need to finish it. When the 6th book comes out, I swear I will dedicate an entire month to reading these.
