The season starts off jumping back and forth between the aftermath of Pete and Reg’s death and working on a plan to eliminate the walker herd from around the Quint mineral company. A few of the townspeople of Alexandria feel that Rick’s plan will not work. Some feel like they are safe in Alexandria with the walls that Reg built around the town in the early days. But there are problems like the walkers trapped in the tractor dealership making noise threatening their plans. Eugene overhears Carter’s plans to kill Rick. Rick finds them and intervenes before Carter can kill Eugene and tells him that he can try to work with them to survive. While it seems like the plan is working the group spreads out to keep the herd moving west Carter is bitten by a walker stuck in the tree line, drawing the herd towards him and his screams of pain. Rick ends up killing Carter because he would not stop screaming and the gunfire from the group pulls the herd back to the road. All is going well until where is that horn coming from? Alexandria? Who would want to bring the herd to Alexandria? Rick and his group start back to Alexandria when the show ends.

This had a little different take on it, though. While filling us in on the things we missed that got them to current point, the flash backs were mingled with current time scenes, differentiated by the flash backs being in black and white. Kinda cool!
Now, there were a few times I almost had a panic attack. Mainly demonstrated when I was SURE Eugene was about to get it! I admit, though, my black little heart skipped with glee when Carter got his kiss. FINALLY.
But that ending! WHO'S HONKING THE EFFING HORN?!? This is why we can't have nice things, dammit!
Until next time,

I tried to do for this review what I do for the doctor who review, which is take notes and then compile it into coherence. And I absolutely managed to do that... for about 5 minutes. Because the rest of the episode was mostly, "HOLY SHIT!" the entire time. So, I failed that.
This episode was different than most, in which about half the episode is a flash back in black and white that leads up to their decision to try and heard an entire horde of zombies away from their home.
Before Rick's group arrived in the town, things were run fairly smoothly. Most people didn't have to deal with walkers, so they could ignore the world going on around them. So, when Rick starts taking charge of things there is some resistance and even a plot to kill him. I was terrified that Eugene was going to be killed, even if I haven't yet decided how I feel about him. Then, when Rick shows up, I was surprised at how he handled the situation. Thinking back on it, he had chosen the best situation. He showed that he doesn't care whether or not people like him, but he'll do what needs to be get done to keep them safe. His awesome points grew for me because of that.
There's a lot of drama that happens. Death, potential death, plotting about potential death, and the list goes on... but then there are the funny scenes that are pretty fantastic. This is one of those:
