Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted over at That Artsy Reader Girl.November 10: Book Titles that Would Make Great Song Titles J. Hooligan:This question made me think a lot... because technically ANYTHING could be a song title. But I only picked songs from books that I've read and enjoyed (with one exception, because it hasn't released yet) - AND I had to have a basic idea of what kind of song would fit with it. Also, I have a very broad range of musical tastes... and this is only a small glimpse of what I listen to... A Song Below Water by Bethany C. MorrowWhen I think of this song, it is just instrumental. Mostly piano actually. Kind of a haunting melody. Super Fake Love Song by David YoonAnyone still listen to Good Charlotte? I don't know any of their new stuff, but this sounds like something they would have sang back when I was in high school. Say You Still Love Me by K.A. TuckerThis gives me 90s boy band vibes. I can picture a few guys harmonizing this specifical line. Where Mischief Lies by Mackenzi LeeFolk music. This is what I think of when I hear this title. Maybe a bit of blue grass? Kinda fits perfect with a folky sound and Loki. Just Kiss Me by Rachel GibsonEarly 2000s bubble gum pop. Mandy Moore or some such. This sounds like what would be playing at a high school prom. Luna and the Lie by Mariana ZapataI'm gonna have to go for an Alternative/Indie genre with this one. Think of one of those bands that has massively long song title names to be edgy, or whatever the kids are doing these days. How I Fly by Anne EliotYou know what fits well with this? A musical. This would be the main song for whatever the production is. It would also be a solo, sung by the female lead. As she asserts her power and awesomeness. If I Was Your Girl by Meredith RussoYes, I know. There already is a song with this title. But that's not what I think of when I hear this title. So, ignoring that, I believe this would be more of a bluesy-country song. Starflight by Melissa LandersLate 1960s Beatles. You can also refer to 1969 David Bowie. It's a real catchy little diddy, but with all the feels. Slight love song but mostly dramas. Angelfall by Susan EeWith this one, I'm going to have to go with Nu metal. Something like Evanescence or System of a Down sounding. I can image it from both styles, actually.
