After I finished the previous book, Undone, I didn't think I could get any angrier than I already had. I was wrong. Sage is still making wrong decisions ("loving" Soren being one of them) and putting her loved ones in the path of danger. I mean I get it, she's trying to make it so no one but her suffers, but she doesn't think things all the way through and this ends badly on more than one occasion. 

There was a part where Sage has do something necessary, but hurtful. I won't lie, I was gleefully happy. Okay, maybe not happy that she hurt someone in the process, but gleefully happy that the thing with someone no longer existed. Did I forget to mention we get a new character? Yeah his name is Lucien. I like him better than Soren. He's sweet and lovable, for a vampire. We'll leave it at that. At this point, this book just got extended into a love square. And I normally do not even read books with love triangles, so you know this series must be pretty awesome to keep me reading. 

There's a part where it's just Aldwin and Sage (Soren can't be where they are! Mwahahahahaha!) and Sage has to confront the part of herself that thinks she no longer loves Aldwin like she used to (I swear she's in denial).

But I'm pretty sure she still feels something. She's in denial, like I said.

​Now for the part I absolutely hated out of the entire book: the ending. 

HOW COULD YOU PEGGY! How could you just leave us with that?! By the time I got to the end of the book, I was so angry I actually threw my iPad! I actually almost damaged it, since it bounced off my bed onto the floor. I can't say what happened because it's too painful to talk about (plus spoilers!) so I'm just going to say if you want to know why I hate the ending, you have to read this series. You won't regret it!

Also, you get the demon platypire for that Peggy! -100000 Platypires!

I have a theory which may or may not play out in book 4. We'll have to see if Peggy decides to correct the wrong thing she did. Which I'm sure she will. I have faith in her! 

If she doesn't...Soren won't be faring quite so well. (Still picturing him as an old man, btw.)

This series has caused a rift between the platypires who have read this series. Of course, Joood and I are the only sane ones, since we acknowledge the greatness that is #TeamAldwin. Keagan Rae and Moxxley are insane and their opinion isn't to be trusted.

But in all seriousness, this is a great series. You can try out the first book and see for yourself, since it's free on Amazon. I still couldn't connect to the secondary characters, which is a shame because I think they had a potential to be great characters. 

But my love/hate of this book trumps that minor flaw and that's why Unbound gets all 5 Platypires!

After I read Fated, I decided that I absolutely needed the next book and so I purchased it. Now here I am, after a storm of emotions I didn't see coming, and all I can say is, "Why Sage? WHY!" 

I don't know why Sage's choices keep surprising me. They also infuriate me, but that's beside the point. What I've concluded after reading this book is that Sage follows her heart completely, and that often times lands her in a hot mess. You know, jumping from the pan right into the fire. 

I had issues with Sage. I mean, yeah, at first I was okay with Soren, but as soon as Aldwin was back in the picture, I immediately resumed holding my #TeamAldwin poster with a bunch of hearts drawn on it. This is where I was really debating with myself because for one, I was happy because #SageAndAldwinForeverandEver could become a thing again, but a part of me had doubts. This is because Sage is very confused in her emotions and I don't like it when characters don't know what they are feeling (probably because they tend to stay away from what I want them to do!). 

We do see more of Soren in this book (no surprise there, he is immortal) and even though he is described as good looking and sexy, I can't help but picture him as an old man. What is wrong with me? This happened to me with another series by Ranae Glass. Am I forever cursed to picture male vampires as old, wrinkly men?!

I'll wrap this up by saying there are some sad feels in this book. I cried because what happened is something that I fear and something I have nightmares about. This is the only instance I'll say that I was glad Soren was with Sage because reliving something traumatizing like that is terrible.

My only complaint (I promise I'll be done after this) is that I do not feel connected to most of the secondary characters. I feel like these are throwaway characters, disposable, without any real importance. I would like to get to know them and their stories, but we are not provided with many details about them. 

Because of these things (and many other reasons I can't talk about) Undone gets 4 Platypires!

I totally skipped doing this last month. I only read 3 books in October, and they were all part of a series...yeah. So I've decided that I should shorten my list to those books which absolutely need to be reviewed in the near future. Basically, anything I've gotten from Penguin's First to Read and Netgalley will be my TBR list until I have them all read.
