“Don’t act like I’m dying and you’re not. I just have a better idea of when it’s happening to me.”
Now, when it comes to her books the options are I'm going to be crying with laughter or feels... it's just how she writes. This one was feels, by the way.
There is something about slow moving romances that really get to me. I adore the build up as the tension grows between the characters.
Out of everything from this book I especially appreciated the way the "black, ugly truth", as it is explained in the synopsis, is handled. There are some heavy stuff here in this unconventional love story. It wasn't taken lightly and treated like a fluff story. Instead, it made it real and handled it in a way that was very respectful to the subject and any readers who were not in the know.
This was another memorable story from the fabulous Lindy Zart.
