Below are her follow links. If you haven't done so already please give her a follow. She reads all kinds of books and is a very honest reviewer.
I’ll let you know when I figure it out. Ha! Well, I do a lot of my blogging during pumping breaks at work or at lunch. At home, it is much harder to maintain this hobby but I have noticed I can get some blogging done if I nurse at the kitchen table where I have the computer set up. It is the perfect height where I can lean over the baby and type. Don’t judge – multitasking at its best!
2. Can you give us details about the "no book buying challenge" and how are you coming along with it?
In various conversations with my co-blogger Rose and with our blogging friend Terri, we realized we are just hoarders when it comes to books. We don’t read as fast as we acquire, so the collection and TBR grows and grows. The 3 of us (and with the new addition to our blog, Lynn, there are 4!) decided to host a challenge to “show our shelves some love” and read what we’ve already collected and try to avoid buying new books. So the challenge was born. I’m doing quite well I must say, since reading time has diminished to nearly never at home, and the budget has gotten tighter, I can’t justify buying new books anyway. So yea I’m doing great. Thankful for my audio book subscriptions J
3. What has been your favorite book event that you've attended? What made it special?
The most exciting book event I’ve attended the Maybe Someday release party in Portland, Oregon. Colleen Hoover and Griffin Peterson collaborated on the soundtrack to the book, and after the book signing there was a concert. Rose and I actually traveled, by plane (!), to a book release party! What? Yea, that was my first time traveling like that for a book event -- I decided I could do a last “hurrah” type of trip since I wouldn’t be able to do this again for some time (I was already pregnant at the time). An added bonus to that trip was getting to be tourists in a new town and enjoy all the whacky fun Portland has to offer. That photo of me was taken at Powell’s City of Books, which is the largest independent bookstore in the United States. That trip was a blast.
4. Hardcover or paperback or ebook? (Why?)
I will always love paperbacks and the way they look on my shelves and don’t hurt (as much) when I drop them on myself. However, being able to pick up my kindle or my cell phone and read wherever really does have its advantages.
5. I love book blogging because________
I love book blogging because reading is one of my favorite hobbies, and sharing the love of books with my friends and strangers on the internet is the coolest thing ever.
