Synopsis
My birth name is Elizabeth, but I'm a guy. Gabe. My parents think I've gone crazy and the rest of the world is happy to agree with them, but I know I'm right. I've been a boy my whole life.
When you think about it, I'm like a record. Elizabeth is my A side, the song everybody knows, and Gabe is my B side--not heard as often, but just as good.
It's time to let my B side play.
My Review
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
5 Platypires for Beautiful Music for Ugly Children
Isn't the title freaking great? For real! I just love it. I had to get the book asap and finally when I got to read it. I freaking read it all in one day. The book combines my love of a good story and my love for music. Each title chapter was just AWESOME. I even read it to my other half and he laughed. Every chapter title starts off with someone (usually famous) is the New Elvis. Who doesn't love Elvis? (if you do than please stop reading the review, this book isn't for you.)
Kirstin Cronn-Mills tackled a very sensitive subject matter and made such a relatable character with Gabe. I adored him and felt everything thing he felt. He was so awkward and his story was a true joy to read.
This book made me laugh , cringed and had enough angst to satisfy any reader. Highly recommend and can't wait to read more from this author.
