Books in Series
Synopsis
It's perfect… as long as you can ignore the mindless monstrosities roaming the streets, vampires ruling the night, and the insane, power-hungry human survivors. Mankind has devolved, mutating into mindless horrors. Only weeks ago, they built skyscrapers and traveled to space. Now they attack anything with flesh, driven by the never-ending desire to consume.
Lance York, and his unlikely companion Cass, have survived the apocalypse. Much to their surprise, that was the easy part. They've fled the city, struggling to find food and shelter, fighting against the nightmarish infected and the militant living, willing themselves to endure through each day.
The world has collapsed, but the fight has just begun.
My Review

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4 Platypires for Consumed by Jason Brant
I was provided a free digital copy for an honest review.
Oh wow this was a lot of fun. I thought the second novel in the Hunger series was just great. I like how the action didn't stop and the story kept going. The story continues with the group still trying to survive and coming to battle with the Minutemen (An evil group who just wants to make things worse.) A lot of these scenes are nail-biting to the point where I had to put down the book a few times because I was actually nervous for the characters.
I would recommend reading the short story Lotion before reading Consumed. While not a necessary read, it does come into play in Consumed. Actually it was pretty neat to see how the characters from Lotion make an appearance.
Overall this was a great read and I can't wait to read the next book.
