I join the Platypire blog about 4 months ago. I tend to be pretty active on the facebook page. I do notice those who like or comment quite often on the postings.. BTW I think they are just great people. Well I notice the author Jim Proctor from his comments and likes. Now here is where it gets kinda embarrassing. I didn't know he was an author and for some strange reason I thought he was related to Joood. I have no idea why. Just thought he was some uncle being supportive or something. It was only on another blog on facebook where they asked for their favorite male indie authors did I see his named mention. So after confirming wtih Joood that they were no related I checked out his books and I saw this short story was available for free on Amazon. So even though I have my read-a-thon list to tackle I decided to check it out.

Mankind has spread to dozens of worlds throughout the universe, and traveling to another world is as simple as stepping through a wormhole or walking onto a Starliner to travel through hyperspace. Finding true love across the vastness of space has been relegated to mathematical algorithms and supercomputers.
Keylann Ascentia is looking for love. With the aid of her Mate Technician, Torina Gates, her search takes her to new worlds. As much as some things change, others remain the same. Sometimes, when you least expect it, love finds you.
My Review:
Made in the Stars by Jim Proctor
My rating: 4 of 5 stars I liked this story. It was really cute and sweet. I was really intrigued with all the worlds and was really fascinated with the futuristic technology. I wanna travel by wormhole to distant planets. My only complaint is that I did think the ending was a tad rainbows and kittens. I would recommend this short story for those looking for a quick read in the science fiction romance genre. View all my reviews |
