I started the Pendragon series by D.J. MacHale over two years ago and a decade late. (The series started in 2002) I was just browsing the audio teen section at my local library and I picked it up without knowing anything about it. I really got roped into this action & the adventure story of Bobby Pendragon. The audio narrator William Dufris does an amazing job. The series is so much fun. I highly recommend starting with the first book, The Merchant of Death but below is my review of book 9, Raven Rise.

Oh Bobby! What is going on? I have been with you since the beginning and your story keeps getting longer & longer. Book 9, Raven Rise by D.J. MacHale is the longest Pendragon book in the series so far. I do have a feeling the last book will be even longer but I am not there yet.
This time around Bobby is all over Halla and again trying to stop Saint Dane. Book 9 is different from the other because we get to see more of the other characters POV. I did like that part but I felt the story kept repeating itself. I would just get bored with some part and tune out the story. (Audio book on this one) The book still had some great action & adventure moments that I enjoyed. Plus the ending came out of left field for me which just makes me want to read the next book.
Even though I wasn't a huge fan of Raven Rise I will continue the series. I also recommend this book for people of all ages.
