Book 1 review here.
Synopsis:
Eighteen-year-old Kricket Hollowell was looking for her place in the world when she discovered that the universe was bigger—and more dangerous—than she had ever dreamed. Now, whisked across space to the planet Ethar, Kricket learns that her genetic ability to see the future makes her a sought-after commodity…and the catalyst for war between her star-crossed parents’ clans. According to Alameedan prophecy, one house will rise to power and the other will be completely wiped out, and Kricket’s precognition is believed to be the weapon that will tip the scales.
A target of both the Rafe and the Alameeda houses, Kricket finds protection—and a home—in the arms of Trey, her Etharian bodyguard-turned-boyfriend. But her visions of what’s to come disturb her deeply, especially since she must discover whether the gift of foresight will allow her to rewrite the future, or if her fate is as immovable as the stars
My Review:

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
3 1/2 Platypires for Sea of Stars by Amy A. Barton
I want to start off by saying that this series should be renamed "Everybody Wants Kricket." Maybe even add a tagline "by any means".
Sea of Stars is the second book in the series and we see Kricket develop more into her powers. The whole premonitions is used more and the regrowing of her hair is explain. I really liked the love story between Kricket and Trey but at times it still felt very medieval. She seems totally down with being his consort after such a short time period. The only reason I find that a lil bit weird is due to fact that she had a problem having her voice heard among the men especially Kyon.
I did enjoy the book and thought it was very action packed. A lot of crazy moments but at times it felt like a pass the ball game with Kricket being the ball. Plus the ending left me with a wtf feeling. I really needed more. Which mean I really need to read the next book in the series.
