*sigh
The book is not the show. Below is my 2 platypire review of Seriously... I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres.
Synopsis:
"Sometimes the greatest things are the most embarrassing." Ellen Degeneres' winning, upbeat candor has made her show one of the most popular, resilient and honored daytime shows on the air. (To date, it has won no fewer than 31 Emmys.) Seriously... I'm Kidding, Degeneres' first book in eight years, brings us up to date about the life of a kindhearted woman who bowed out of American Idol because she didn't want to be mean. Lively; hilarious; often sweetly poignant.
Review:
Seriously... I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres My rating: 2 of 5 stars The only reason I'm not giving this a one star is because I really do like Ellen. But this book was just nonsense. I might have smirked at a couple of jokes but never laughed. It really had a bunch of useless information and just filler to waste time. No real store stories were told and just simple life advice. Really the whole time I kept thinking there was no reason for this book to be written. I highly doubt Ellen is hurting for money. I would not recommend this to anyone. Just stick to watching the Ellen show. View all my reviews | |
